Generally conventional, sort of poppy music made with a minimal sound palette. It began with inspiration from the Sonic 3 soundtrack, specifically in how efficiently it uses its sparse instrumentation, though this album is not explicitly chiptune or video game music; a variety of musical sources influenced its overall production in several different ways.

Handful of outtakes and false starts aside, all tracks were mostly written in order (hence the title), except for Half Remembered which was written just after Riot, and A Nice Breeze which was written between Dream Realized. The album as a whole took about 4 months to produce from start to finish. It was originally going to be 12 tracks but I got too deep into mixing and remixing everything I already had over and over again and lost momentum. I need to move on to something non-musical and didn't want to leave this material on the shelf indefinitely.

Cover art is a photo of my Panasonic consumer CRT television displaying the output of my NES playing Tetris, hacked by me to display the details of this album.
